On Planet Ultra we like to reward and recognize everyone, especially the riders who are really dedicated to their adventurous pursuits on a bicycle. We created the Planet Ultra Grand Slam to recognize our most committed and loyal riders, the hardiest of the hardy, the toughest of the tough...
Who are these people? They are the cyclists who have officially completed four or more of Planet Ultra's endurance events (double centuries or multi-day tours) in any one calendar year.

Which Events Count for the Planet Ultra Grand Slam in 2007?
Riders who officially finish four or more of the following
endurance events qualify for the Planet Ultra Grand Slam in 2007:
February 17: Butterfield
Double Century
March 18-24:
Solvang Spring Tour
March 31: Solvang Double Century
April 14: Mulholland Double Century
May 26: Heartbreak Double Century
June 2: Eastern Sierra Double Century
June 17-23 Tour
of Southern Utah
September 15-17:
Hoodoo 500 (Solo, Tandem, 2-Person or 2-Tandem divisions only)
October 20:
Solvang Autumn Double Century
How do we recognize these Planet Ultra Grand Slam Official Finishers?
1) At the finish line of the fourth event accomplished, in front of the thronging masses of fans and with great pomp and circumstance, each Planet Ultra Grand Slam Official Finisher receives a very nice award. For 2007, they will receive a very cool Grand Slam coffee mug with this logo:
2) We have very nifty and exclusive cycling jerseys and vests, that only Planet Ultra Grand Slam Official Finishers are permitted to obtain and wear, made by Champion Systems. The 2007 jerseys and vests will be available by pre-order only, for delivery in January 2008. We do not inventory the Grand Slam gear. If you've earned it (by having completed a Grand Slam in 2002-2007), and you want it, you must place your order before October 31st - and we'll ship it to you as soon as it arrives. 3) We keep accurate records of every member of this elite squad on our website and we publicize them through our e-newsletter. Planet Ultra Grand Slam Official Finishers have serious bragging rights and we make it easy for any doubters to verify their claims!
4) We hold a drawing every January which includes the names of all the Grand Slam Finishers for the previous year. One lucky winner receives a Planet Ultra Four Event Ride Pass, allowing him or her to enter any four Planet Ultra events in that calendar year for FREE.
