KING OF THE MOUNTAINS CENTURY CHALLENGE
FINAL STANDINGS

Congratulations to all of the Official Finishers of the inaugural King of the Mountains Century Challenge. 168 dedicated and strong riders completed all three of the toughest Southern California Centuries: Mulholland Challenge, Breathless Agony and Heartbreak Hundred - 3 Days, 323 Miles, 30,800 feet of climbing! Completing any one of these rides is a huge accomplishment in and of itself. Riding all three... well, all we can say is, "We Salute You!!!"

All finishers received the exclusive Planet Ultra polka-dot King of the Mountains finisher socks, and earned the right to wear the coveted finisher jersey and vest. The top three finishers in each category will also receive from Planet Ultra a special winner's t-shirt with their name, place and ride times on the front, and the King of the Mountains logo on the back.

Thanks to our product sponsors, the first place finishers will each receive a VDO Wireless Altimeter/Cyclometer; the second place finishers will each receive a Detours saddle bag, and the third place finishers will each receive a gift certificate from E-Caps/Hammer Nutrition.

The results were amazingly close, especially in the Men's category. Only one minute separated David Adams and Dustin Luton. In the 50+ Men's, Jim Bowles and Bob Davidson had the same exact finishing time. After over 300 miles, this is quite a feat! Is a 2007 re-match in order??? We hope to see all of the riders taking the Challenge again in 2007!

Special kudos to our most senior finisher, Skip Nevell from Los Angeles, who's 72 years young. Skip is an inspiration to all of us who ride our bikes to keep our bodies and minds forever young at  heart!
