SAFETY AND RULES

  • All riders must hang their number plate/timing chip facing forward on their handlebars. Riders without a number plate will be refused support and will not receive a finishing time. Riders who fail to return their number plate after the ride will be charged $25 and will be listed as DQ not in the results even if their chip read. (We will change your results when/if you return or pay for the number plate.)
  • "Bandit riders" and/or anyone who brings a “bandit” will be banned from all future Planet Ultra events.
  • Helmets are mandatory. All riders must wear a properly fitted and fastened helmet at all times while cycling. No exceptions!!! You will be DQ'd without warning if you're seen riding without your helmet. No matter how hot it gets on the climbs - keep that helmet on your head!
  • All riders are responsible for knowing and obeying all traffic laws, including stopping at lights and stop signs. Riders who break laws may be ticketed by local law enforcement and/or disqualified from the event.
  • Ride safely and in control. Ride to the right, single file when necessary, but no more than two abreast at any time. Protect and warn one another about road hazards and traffic. Don't overlap wheels. Practice safe paceline and group riding etiquette. Any cyclist who is deemed to be riding unsafely, discourteously or recklessly will be disqualified from the event. Remember, it’s a ride, not a race. Your safely is your responsibility.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO PRIVATE SAG. Planet Ultra reserves the right to disqualify without warning every rider who violates any of the above rules, or for any other safety violation or other unsportsmanlike conduct.
